10. Bradley Dredge
Bradley Dredge (born 6 July 1973) is a Welsh professional golfer. Dredge was born in Tredegar. He turned professional in 1996. Dredge attempted to gain his card on the European Tour via the qualifying school in 1995 and 1996, the second time doing sufficiently well to gain a place on the Challenge Tour for 1997. He finished 15th in the rankings, having won the Klassis Turkish Open during the season, and graduated directly to the European Tour for 1998. He failed to win enough money during his rookie season to retain his status, and returned to the Challenge Tour the following season. He was again successful with a win at the Is Molas Challenge and a second place finish at the Challenge Tour Championship helping him to 8th on the money list, and graduation back to the European Tour. Since regaining his European Tour card, Dredge has established himself on the elite tour, finishing inside the top 100 on the Order of Merit every season except 2000. His first win on the European Tour came at the 2003 Madeira Island Open, and in 2006 he claimed his second title at the Omega European Masters. 9. Arron Oberholser
Arron Matthew Oberholser (born February 2, 1975) is an American professional golfer. Oberholser was born in San Luis Obispo, California. He attended San Jose State University and turned professional in 1998. Oberholser played on the Canadian Tour in 1999 and 2000, finishing second on the Order of Merit in the latter year. In 2001 he was a member of the second tier tour in North America, the Nationwide Tour, but only competed three times due to a wrist injury. In 2002 he finished second on the Nationwide Tour money list and won a place on the elite PGA Tour. In his first three seasons on the PGA Tour he played well enough to retain his card and had a best finish of second at the 2005 Wachovia Championship, where he lost in a playoff, He won the Shinhan Korea Golf Championship, a PGA Tour-sanctioned “Challenge Season” event in 2004. Michael Richard Weir, CM, O.Ont (born May 12, 1970) is a Canadian professional golfer on the PGA Tour. He spent over 100 weeks in the top-10 of the Official World Golf Rankings between 2001 and 2005. Weir was born in Sarnia, Ontario. He grew up in the Sarnia suburb of Bright’s Grove, Ontario, where he learned to golf at Huron Oaks Golf Course, and was coached there by Steve Bennett. He attended St. Michael Elementary School in Bright’s Grove and St. Clair Secondary School in Sarnia, winning the Ontario Junior Championship in 1988. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University (majoring in Recreation Management), and won the Ontario Amateur Championship in 1990 and 1992. Ian James Poulter (born 10 January 1976) is an English professional golfer who is a member of the world’s top two professional golf tours, the U.S.-based PGA Tour and the European Tour. He is the touring professional for Woburn Golf and Country Club which is situated in Buckinghamshire. Poulter is well known for his often radical dress sense, inspired by his mother who managed the Letchworth branch of UK women’s fashion chain Dorothy Perkins. His most famous pieces include trousers featuring the famous Claret Jug, worn at both the 2005 and 2006 Open Championships. Commentating for the BBC, Seve Ballesteros jibed that this was “the closest [Poulter] would ever get to it”. 6. Geoff Ogilvy Geoff Charles Ogilvy (born 11 June 1977) is an Australian professional golfer best known for winning the 2006 U.S. Open and three World Golf Championships events. Ogilvy was born in Adelaide, South Australia to an English-born father Mike and Australian born mother Judy. He turned professional in May 1998 and he won a European Tour card at that year’s Qualifying school. He played on the European Tour in 1999 and 2000, finishing 65th in his first season and improving to 48th in his second. Sergio García (born 9 January 1980) is a Spanish professional golfer who plays on both the United States PGA Tour and the European Tour. He has spent much of his career in the top 10 of the Official World Golf Rankings (over 300 weeks between 2000 and 2009). 4. Ricky Barnes
Richard Kyle Barnes (born February 6, 1981) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour. Barnes turned professional in 2003 and joined the Nationwide Tour in 2004. His best finish on tour came in the 2006 Oregon Classic where he lost to Cliff Kresge in a playoff. Barnes finished in the 25th spot on the 2008 Nationwide Tour money list which earned him his PGA Tour card for 2009. At the 2009 U.S. Open, Barnes set the 36-hole scoring record after shooting an 8-under 132 through the first two rounds in soft, rainy conditions. Early in the 3rd round, he would become only the fourth player ever to reach double digits under par. In 2009 he achieved his highest position, third, in the Official World Golf Rankings. Casey won his milestone 10th event on the European Tour at the 2009 BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Golf Club in Surrey, where he won by one stroke over Wentworth resident and fellow Englishman Ross Fisher.
